My favourite technique!

Hello friends! Here's a quick tutorial of my favourite technique, using the Stampin' Pastels. This was a technique I demonstrated with my stamp club ladies and everyone was 'WOWED' and it's soooo simple (and yet oh-so-stunning!). The stamp set I used is another all time favourite: 'Lovely as a Tree'.

First, stamp your tree image VERY LIGHTLY, using a light color such as Crumb Cake (stamped off once, on scrap paper, then on your cardstock. I'm using Naturals White cards stock - it's a nice change from the whisper white card stock). Next, using the Stampin' Pastels and the applicators (I prefer Q-tips), add colors randomly - making it as UGLY as possible! LOL Just wait - it's going to be a masterpiece! Color it all in - don't forget the tree base and the grass.

You should have something UGLY like THIS! Ahhh - but really, it's MAGIC! You'll see....

Take your Stamp-a-ma-jig and ink the tree in a dark color; such as Early Espresso. Stamp the tree on the plastic sheet as shown above.

THIS IS WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS! Position your image directly over the colored tree, remove the plastic, stamp again - with the Early Espresso and be prepared to be AMAZED!!!

WOW! How gorgeous is this???? Truly stunning! Photos don't do this technique justice. You could also click on the photo to see the image larger.

Use your masterpiece on a card, an altered notebook (as I did here) or a candle, whatever you like. Stay tuned for more pictures to come. Have fun!

HAPPY STAMPING!
