September Stamp Club & Samples

Hi Gang! Has this been a gorgeous week, or what? Autumn in it's finest. This is my very favourite season. I love everything about it and I am going to make a 12x12 scrapbook page featuring all my favourite things about Autumn, such as:
  • the colour of the trees
  • walks in the trails with my husband and Rosey, our puppy
  • the carpet of leaves crunching under your feet
  • the brief respite from mowing grass before the snow shovelling starts
  • the smell of wood smoke directing your gaze to the chimney tops
  • rosey red (or is it 'Riding Hood Red'?) apples waiting for you to savour their sweetness
  • pumpkins begging to be made into everything from pies to pancakes. Be sure to check out my very favourite Pumpkin Pancake recipe on my recipe page.
  • and let's not forget another great thing about this time of year - NO BUGS!
Our project for stamp club this month featured the new Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper - and all the girls loved it.

We also used the 'Day of Gratitude' stamp set from the current Holiday Mini and this has been a big seller for me this month. The box we made holds 4 tealight candles, all coordinating with the Designer Series Paper!

Aren't these CUTE??? These will make darling little gifts!

The Autumn Spice DSP and the 'Day of Gratitude' stamps we used in club this month are also items featured in my 'Autumn Spice' 8x8 Scrapbook class next month too so check out my Calendar of Events on my Stampin' Up! website or on my Classes & Events page here on my blog. I also just posted a fun Halloween Class with the 18oo's London Halloween Suite products - I am SO EXCITED about this class! It's going to awesome!!! I hope you'll join me! Photo and details are also posted. All the products shown are from the Holiday Mini, which you can view and/or purchase online by clicking HERE.

Here's another sample of this month's Stamp Club Project, using the Peaceful Wishes stamp set and the 'Deck the Halls' Designer Series Paper. The Modern Label punch was used for the tag, with the 'Bells & Boughs'. LOVE IT!

Don't forget about the SHIMMER MIST! I used the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spray on both of the tea light boxes. Instant WOW!!! Soooooooooo pretty!!

The above tea lights were my first attempt - I've since used the 'Serene Snowflakes' too and they're my favourite Christmas image, so far, for the tea lights. Sorry - I don't have a photo.

These boxes also hold Hershey Chocolate Nuggets PERFECTLY! Mailing labels, decorated with your stamps or stampin' wheels are the ideal size to wrap your nuggets to coordinated them with your gift box. It's all about turning something ordinary into something EXTRA-ordinary!

Here's a card I cased, again using the items from this month's Stamp Club project, and the layout was cased from fellow demonstrator, Linda Heller.

I loved this layout so much that I had to try it again, only this time with a Christmas theme! This will be one of the cards in my upcoming 'Christmas Stamp-a-Stack' card classes. Pppsst: check out the button! It matches the DSP!

Pretty tricky, hey? LOL I just glued on some dsp, sanded the edges and ta-da!

Here's a card I demonstrated with the 'Day of Gratitude' stamp set, during my demonstration at the Queen's County Fall Fair. I cased this from the Stampin' Up! demonstrator online extras - a perk for us demonstrators! I get a ton of ideas from our monthly Stampin' Success magazine and the demonstrator website. I LOVE STAMPIN' UP!!!

I cased this card from one of my favourite demonstrators, Diana Gibbs. Diana did a watercoloring presentation during convention that blew my socks off! This card features the 'Just Believe' stamp set, the Newsprint DSP, Vanilla ribbon, scallop border punch, card stock is Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black and the watercolor paper. I've also been selling the watercolor paper like hotcakes - we're all ADDICTED to it! To achieve the look above, use your markers directly onto your stamp, mist lightly with water, stamp on the watercolor paper. The watercolor paper, with the wet ink, will give you the professional 'watercoloring' look! I also used the color spritzing tool. I am also addicted to this tool and can't stop using it!!!! Isn't stamping FUN?!!!

Yet ANOTHER card I cased - this time straight off the pages of the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalogue. See - I copy too! Once you get going it's EASY to find inspiration and ideas for your cards and paper crafting projects!
