Note Pad Tutorial

Hi Everyone!

As promised, I've put together a super quick tutorial for the Note Pads that I made for my new team members, at our recent 'Meet & Greet' event.

(BTW: This project is a direct CASE from Andrea Gideon)

Here ya go:

Using card stock of your choice (I used Whisper White for this tutorial), cut at 9 3/4" by 5 1/4". Then score at 1" and 1 1/4". Click on the photo to make it larger, if you want to see the score lines.

Next, decorate your card stock with your stamps - I used my jumbo wheel with Crumb Cake Classic Ink and the gorgeous "Very Vintage" wheel.

Going with the 'vintage' theme, I sponged Crumb Cake onto the card stock. Our sponges work GREAT for this! I always cut my sponge into 8 pieces so one sponge goes a LONG way!

I am in love with my Colour Spritzer! Since I have been showing this at my clubs and workshops a whole lot of you have been buying your own spritzer and have been lovin' it too! Such a simple effect for a subtle but real 'WOW'!

The ink splatters from the Colour Spritzer just add that special touch.
I'm using the "Early Espresso" marker, by the way.

I purchased these note pads at my local drugstore for only $1.99!

Using some Sticky Strip, adhere your notepad to card stock.

I chose to use "Bashful Blue" ribbon to tie around the top.

As an afterthought, I decided to add strips of Crumb Cake card stock, punched with the "Pinking Hearts Border" punch. Oh my goodness, I LOVE THIS PUNCH! I also added a tag made with my "Extra Large Tag" & "Large Tag" punch, along with my 1" Circle punch (using Bashful Blue card stock). I stamped the word 'Love' from the " Tiny Tags" stamp set. (I use this set, with its coordinating 'Jewelery Tag Punch' all the time!)

The bird image I used on the tag is from the Hostess One set: Silhouette Sentiments. This is such a great stamp set! You can't buy it though, because even better, it's FREE! Just host a workshop and you can earn your own set - which is easy peasy to do - and soooooooooo much FUN! Contact me today to book your workshop - I have some dates available for January and February! I can be reached by email at serenestamper@yahoo.ca

I also stamped the flowers from 'Silhouette Sentiments' on to the top page of the note pad, in the bottom corner.

Here's the finished note pad! What do you think? So quick and simple and I really enjoyed making these notepads! I can't wait to make more for gifts! Can you imagine making these for holidays, such as Valentines? This would also be perfect with a magnet on the back, to put on your refrigerator or your filing cabinet. Hey! How about some Velcro and place it on your dash in your car? Maybe just make it a bit smaller and attach a pencil to it! Oh, the possibilities are endless. I love stamping. It's just too much FUN!!!!!
