Hello Baby Shower!

Hi Friends! This past weekend we had a surprise baby shower at one of my stamp clubs.  Erin, a sweet friend and club member, will soon be having her first baby so we just HAD to do something fun for her since this will be her last club for a while.  Erin and her husband are having a little boy, Thomas, and I am soooo excited for her.  We decided to have a potluck appey and I used the 'Hello Baby' download from My Digital Studio for the theme.  This ensemble also includes everything in pink, for baby girls.

To view or purchase this digital download through my online store, click HERE.

This download is so versatile and a ton of fun to create with.  Along with a brush stamp set and embellishments, the "Hello Baby" download includes all of the following templates, along with photos of how I used them:
Tent Cards

Banner with Baby (the letters fit with the scallop punch perfectly!)

Water Bottle Labels

Napkin Rings

Pinwheel Decorations

Favour Tags - we used these as one of our stamp club projects, to make cards for Erin.  She can use them for her choice of Baby Announcements or for Thank You cards. The Extra Large Oval Punch works a dream for these tags.

Cupcake Toppers ~ I put them in the appey dishes that the ladies brought to club, as I knew we would be having a slab cake for Erin instead.

I loved making the little banner for the cake!

For the little banner I used bakers twine and embellished with buttons.  Erin took home all the decorations for her scrapbook ~ how fun it will be to put that together!

For Erin's card I used the template that comes with the download and tweaked it a little then printed it on my home printer.  Next, I cut it to 4" x 5 1/4", covered with versamark ink and embossed the whole piece with Iridescent Ice.  Wanting some texture, I then put it through my Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  I used So Saffron as my 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" card base and just added a button and some ribbon to finish it off.
Along with a baby blanket I've been crocheting for Erin I also made a cute litte onesie, also using My Digtial Studio:
I used images from Hello Baby (the duck) as well as the 'Rock-a-bye' digital download (100% All Boy).  Once I finished my design, I just mirrored it before I printed it onto iron on transfer paper:

I then packaged the gift into a paper bag and using one of our clear envelopes, I used the card to 'decorate' the bag:

The gals in our stamp club spoiled Erin too, with wonderful food and sweet gifts and cards:

How caa-ute is this diaper cake?  Stacey, Tina and Michele got together to make this for Erin.

Michele used the Oval Framelits for this fun card!
Love the decorated packaging!

Tammy used the Top Note die for the gift card - how clever!

Karen was creative with her stamping on the envelope - I love the dots (made with the sponge daubers?)
I love Karen's baby card!  Karen used the Quint-Essential Flower stamp with her scallop punches.

Darlene used this month's stamp club technique for her sweet baby card.  To see my  'Double Embossing' video, click HERE.

Love Cathy's card - and check out those wonderful clouds that she made!  Cathy used the Scallop Circle die on her sweet card.

Bernice made this fab card, also using the Oval Framelits, as well as the Tulip Frame Embossing Folder and those buttons just added the perfect touch!

Karen V's card is just beautiful and I love the layout she used too - I can't wait to case it! *wink*
All in all, it was a wonderful baby shower and Erin really enjoyed it too.  We still found time to stamp our club projects too (no baby shower is complete without stamping, right??  LOL)
