Hello and welcome to my little space in the blogging world! I have been passionate about rubber stamping since 1985 and I love it as much today as I did back then! Originally from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, I now make my home in Nova Scotia. April 10th, 2017 marks my 15 year anniversary with Stampin' Up! and I've been blessed by this company and my business more than words can say. I've been fortunate to have earned amazing Grand Vacations, Founder's Circle Retreats (for the top 100 demonstrators in the USA and top 20 in Canada), and a member of the Team Canada strategic group. If you would like to purchase Stampin' Up! products you can shop online (within CANADA) through my website HERE. I hope my blog inspires you in some way - whether it be stamping, crafting, trying a new recipe or something all together new - enjoy! ~ Tina
Hi Friends! I have to admit, I really enjoyed making today's card (I think I always say that!). Probably because embossing was involved and even after allllll the years that I've been stamping it still WOW's me. And if you haven't tried embossing white onto Crumb Cake card stock, you've got to give it a go! Because once you add your colour, which I did using ink pads and my aqua painter, the results are stunning:
To make this card I first stamped the Swallowtail butterfly onto Crumb Cake and embossed in white. I know the butterfly becomes hidden behind the front panel but that's ok - I just wanted a bit of design in white to peek out from behind. Then I stamped the swirls and flowers from Everything Eleanor and also embossed in white. I added colour by squeezing my ink pads to get ink onto the inside lid and used that 'puddle' of ink with my aqua painter. The birthday greeting is from the "Wetlands" stamp set.
