Friendly Wishes and Roses

Hi Friends! I've been off the radar for a bit, what with summer and all. I was also in Phoenix for a convention with my other business (which was awesome) so suffice to say, I've been on the go pretty much non-stop.  I did take some time to relax with with a bit of stamping, just purely to play around.  Here's what I came up with:
To make the roses and leaves I cut three circles from Watermelon Wonder card stock and 1 circle from Cucumber Crush card stock, using the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch. I spritzed the Cucumber Crush scallop circle with water, scrunched it up and let it dry flat. I then cut piece of the scallop out for leaves. The roses are really fun to make - just use scissors to cut scallop circle into a spiral and then roll up into a rose and secure with a glue dot. I will make a video soon to show you how I made them - they're great embellishments when you need something in a hurry too.
I paper-pieced the word 'Friend' by stamping onto a scrap piece of Bohemian Designer Series Paper and cut out each letter using my paper snips. I am beginning to think I may need to get glasses - those letters are TINY for cutting out, lemme tell ya! And the new 1" Dotted Lace Trim is absolutely lovely - it's definitely my favourite out of all the ribbon and trims in this year's catalogue.
