|My kitty (and hounds, not in photo) enjoy the sunrise at our new home!|
And even more good news is, there is a whole room that I have to myself, to set up my new Stamping Studio in! Suffice to say, the last few days I've been going non-stop unpacking and getting everything organized (quite the task, as us crafters have a TON of stuff!).
Until this morning I haven't been able to sit down and stamp any cards and I've been itchin' to take some time to relax and create. Before I get into the details of today's card, let me first tell you where I got the inspiration for it. The couple who bought my house have actually become wonderful new friends of mine. I left a gift basket of goodies for them to find upon their arrival and then, when I visited earlier this week, they also surprised me with a gift basket they brought with them from Montreal! So sweet! The basket was full of wonderful treasures and my friend is very creative - she even made me a card! She drew it all by hand and if you take a look at the envelope, you'll see what I saw - "Swirly Bird"!
|Isn't this pretty???|
This is a simple one-layer card and I used Blushing Bride for the card base. Next, I stamped my images from the "Swirly Bird" stamp set using Black Memento Ink and the sentiment is from the "Tin of Cards" set. The large leaves were stamped using "Cucumber Crush" and the smaller leaves were stamped with "Wild Wasabi" inks. To colour the images I used my aqua painter (love, love, LOVE the aqua painter!) and ink pads. For the big flowers I used "Melon Mambo"; once dry I added "Flirty Flamingo". The little flowers were coloured with "Tempting Turquoise". To finish my card I added the lines to the leaves with my Basic Black marker and adhered a gold bow and rhinestones.

Well, my friends, I hope you enjoyed today's card and that you also take some time to relax and stamp something fun. I'm heading outside to enjoy the sunshine!
