Thankful Thoughts Card and Gift

Hi Friends!  I have always loved making home made gifts. To me there's just something a little more personal about something you took the time and effort to make. I wanted to do something special for two of our neighbours, who took care of our cat while we were in British Columbia. Here's what I came up with:
I scooted to my favourite garden nursery and bought each gal a gorgeous hanging flower basket (the flowers are called Million Bells, a favourite of mine)
I used the colours of the flowers as inspiration for their cards and the card layout was inspired from sample in this month's Stampin' Success magazine (all Stampin' Up! demonstrators receive this complimentary bi-monthly magazine, chock full of great ideas!)

The little flowers and leaves on the card were created with the images from the Tranquil Tulip Host Set (which is soooo pretty!). I simply cut them out and used glue dots to adhere them to the card.

I also baked a couple loaves of banana bread, wrapped them up, and voila, a great gift for each neighbor (I figured their husbands would enjoy the bread more than the flowers, hahaha).

I hope you're enjoying your summer so far. This has been 'grad week' for my honey's youngest daughter, so it's been a busy time. We've also got some of my family visiting us from BC, which has been AWESOME! And on that note, I'd best go get the bacon cookin' for everyone's breakfast! Have a wonderful day!
