Monthly Creative Challenge - Whisper White Narrow Note Cards and Scallop Punches

Happy Friday! Another week has come and gone. Geez, the days are going by FAST! I've got two workshops this weekend and I can't wait! Tomorrow's party is with some lovely ladies who asked to make projects using our Designer Series Paper and I've got some great ones lined up for them. Sunday's Sale-a-bration party with another hostess will be all occasion cards for their projects. I'll post lots of photos for you on Monday. I'm also excited because today is the day....

....New Sale-a-bration items have been released!

The "Blooming Basket Bundle" is definitely my favourite new Sale-a-bration item. This is a level 2 item that you can earn for FREE with a qualifying order (until March 31, 2018; while supplies last). Here's a video from Stampin' Up! that shows this awesome new bundle in action:

Each month members in my Serene Stampers downline group who wish to participate in my Creative Challenges receive supplies to make a card. The monthly challenges always feature a specific product; this month is was the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes and the new Scallop Circle Punches. Everyone who plays along receives the same supplies and then they upload photos of their finished project to our Serene Stampers FB group. This gives us all lots of inspiration on ways to use the featured products too. Here's a photo of the supplies that I mailed out for this month's Creative Challenge:

When creating their card, members need to use the included Whisper White Narrow Note Card, Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper and at least one of the new Scallop Circle punched card stock pieces.  They can also add heat embossing, glitter, texture paste, etc and any stamp set they wish. All products must be from current Stampin' Up! catalogues. We have so much fun with our Creative Challenges and it's always exciting to see what everyone makes each month!  I love playing along too and here's what I came up with:

The stamp set I used on this card is "In the City" (an exclusive host reward stamp set):

I also punched a circle from the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer Series Paper and glued it to the flap of the envelope, trimming the excess. I never send out 'naked' envelopes; I always stamp them or add some Designer Series Paper to coordinate with the card:

Wouldn't this be a sweet card to tuck in with a special gift for new parents?

The new Scallop Circle Punches are fabulous - they're going to be well used on many projects to come! I had so much fun making one card that I had to make another:

This time I used the "Beautiful Peacock" stamp set and this stamp set is FREE with qualifying orders during Sale-a-bration!

I added some embellishments to the front of the envelope (including a black piece cut from the Petals & More Thinlits Dies - it was just laying on my desk so I decided to use it!). When I stamped the peacock's body, I didn't have it quite lined up with the 'feather' portion of the stamp, so I decided to fill in the gap with Gold Glitter. The glitter looked so pretty that I added more to the stamped image!

I hope you enjoyed today's card share as much as I enjoyed the challenge of making them with select supplies! And if you haven't ordered the new Scallop Circle Punches yet, they're a must. The Note Cards & Envelopes are also great and will come in handy for gift giving too.

  1. Such a beautiful group of cards Tina. I like the concept you have going where you send out the items and the others have to come up with something too.
