Little Elephant Waterfall Card Tutorial

Here's a fun card for you, created by my friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, for our leaders project sheet group.

If you've never made a waterfall card you've got to give it go - they're easier than they may seem and super cool when they're done!

Supplies:
Stamp Sets: Little Elephant (w 145725, c 145728)
Inks: Bermuda Bay (147096), Coastal Cabana (147097), Lovely Lipstick (147140)
Paper: Bermuda Bay (131197), Coastal Cabana (131297), Lovely Lipstick (146970), Whisper White (100730)
Other: Big Shot (148348), Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder(143709), Bermuda Bay ¼” Striped Ribbon (146939), 1/8” Handheld Circle Punch (134365), Tear & Tape Adhesive (138995), Snail (104332), Dimensionals (104430)

Measurements:
  • Lovely Lipstick: 8 ½” x 5 ½”; scored at 4 ¼“
  • Coastal Cabana: 5 ¼” x 4”
  • Bermuda Bay: 8 ½ x 1 ¾”; scored at 1 ¾”, 2 ¾”, 3 ¾”
  • Bermuda Bay: 4” x 1”
  • Lovely Lipstick: 2 ¼” x 2” (3 pieces)
  • Whisper White: 2” x 1 ¾” (3 squares)
Instructions:
  1. Fold the card base.
  2. Run the Coastal Cabana piece of cardstock through the Big Shot with the Polka Dot Embossing folder.
  3. Attach a small piece of Tear & Tape to the ends of the smaller Bermuda Bay strip.
  4. Attach the Bermuda Bay Strip to the Coastal Cabana layer about 1” from the end (this leaves a space for you to slide the waterfall piece underneath).
  5. On one white square, stamp the saying with Bermuda Bay ink. Stamp the balloons with Lovely Lipstick ink.
  6. On the second white square, Stamp the large elephant with Coastal Cabana ink. Stamp the small bird with Lovely Lipstick ink above the elephant.
  7. On the third white square stamp the small elephant, with Coastal Cabana ink. Stamp the hearts with Lovely Lipstick ink.
  8. Mount all 3 white squares onto the Lipstick mats.
  9. Punch a hole in the end of the scored Bermuda Bay cardstock.
  10. Fold the scored Bermuda Bay cardstock in on the scored lines.
  11. Attach the scored Bermuda Bay to the horizontal strip you just attached to the card front. To do this, slide the longest section of the Bermuda Bay strip between the horizontal strip and the card, making sure to center it on your card. Line up the very edge of the scored end of Bermuda strip with bottom of the horizontal strip and attach with Tear & Tape.
  12. Start sticking on your stamped images – starting with the bottom image. Put a small strip of Tear & Tape, next to but not over the scored lines and attach your images to the tape.
  13. Pull the strip to reveal the waterfall.
