Beautiful Friendship Card Tutorial

Hi Friends! I hope you had a nice weekend. Mine was BUSY! I've spent the last week painting (bedroom and kitchen) and finished last night. Paint is a magical thing, isn't it? It just transforms a room. The kitchen was a bit 'Cajun Craze' and now it's a soft grey, called "Northern Reflections" with a beautiful cream trim called "Dairy". I love these colours so much that I used them in our bedroom too. I am a huge fan of Home Hardware's "Beauti-tone" paint, especially the "National Parks of Canada" colour line, which is what both colours are from and you can check them out here. I think I may pick some colour inspiration for my card designs from the paint collections! Anywho, I'm soooo happy with the end result of the painting - tons of work, but worth it. Now I need to spend some time on new flowers beds that I put in earlier this summer, give them a bit of shape and put on some bark mulch - which is on today's agenda. I also have a massive amount of green beans in the garden that need to get picked, blanched and frozen. Never a dull moment, but life is good!

Today's card tutorial that I'm sharing with you was created by Angie Leach, from our 'Leaders Project Group'. I absolutely LOVE the "Beautiful Friendship" set:

  • Stamp Sets Beautiful Friendship (149252 photopolymer); Band Together (149231 cling)
  • Card Stock & Paper – Pretty Peacock (150880); Whisper White (100730)

  • Pretty Peacock: 5 ½” x 8 ½“, scored at 4 ¼”
  • Whisper White: 5 ¼” x 4”; scrap

  1. Stamp the Beautiful Friendship large double flower image twice onto the Whisper White background layer.
  2. Stamp the large dotted flower in Mango Melody three times.
  3. Stamp the small rose in Rococo Rose ink 5 times in the blank areas.
  4. Stamp the cluster flower in the blank areas with stamped-off Pretty Peacock ink.
  5. Add some Pear Pizzazz leaves to fill in any remaining blank spots.
  6. Add the flower centers in Pretty Peacock ink.
  7. Adhere the stamped layer to a Pretty Peacock card base.
  8. Color the Metallic Edge Ribbon with the Light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Marker and tie around the card front.
  9. Stamp the Band Together sentiment in Pretty Peacock onto Whisper White cardstock, punch with the Story Label Punch, add a couple of stamped-off Mango Melody roses and pop up with Dimensionals.
