Hurricane Dorian and Christmas Card Swaps!

The calm before the storm, yesterday morning.
Hi Friends! Well, Hurrican Dorian has come and gone and we made it through okay! Thanks to those of you who emailed or messaged me on my Serene Stamper Facebook page, expressing your concern - you truly touched my heart! I'm still catching the news updates, but it looks like the South Shore of Nova Scotia (Peggy's Cove, Mahone Bay, etc) and especially Halifax bore the brunt of the hurricane. We live outside of Antigonish, on route to Cape Breton, so we were in the path of the crazy winds.

Rosey & Cooper, watching from the window.

Some trees were uprooted at our neighbours and we had a big tree come down in the lot beside our property, but for the most part, that was it. I've heard there are LOTS of trees down in our area - including a huge and BEAUTIFUL tree not far from us (I'm not looking forward to seeing it - seeing those old trees come down is sad). I would say we were all VERY LUCKY there wasn't more damage. Fortunately, we have a wood stove and generator, so even when the power went out, we had heat and lights. We actually ate a turkey supper that I cooked early yesterday (while we still had electricity; the stove really drains the generator) and watched a movie, then slept through the worst of the storm. Power is still out, but the generator is on and the wood stove has our house nice and cosy (it's only 9' outside!).

I was hoping to have another video for you today, but obviously, the storm put a kibosh to that. Instead, I'll share some beautiful cards with you that were created by some members of my "Serene Stampers" team for our card swap! All the cards feature new products from the holiday catalogue:
