Quick Cards Using Three Techniques ~ VIDEO!

Hi Friends! I love combining techniques on cards and on today's cards I used THREE in total! First, I used our Pigment Sprinkles for a watercolour wash. Second, I used the emboss resist and lastly, a bit of stenciling for the background. I mass-produced these cards, making about 40 in approx. three hours!
  • I began by placing the large flower image from the "Good Morning Magnolia" set onto the Stamparatus, and stamping on Whisper White card stock with Versamark ink.
  • Next, I sprinkled on embossing powder and set with my heat tool.
The Stamparatus really sped this process along, and I worked in batches of 5 or 6 cards at once, stamping and heat embossing and repeating. As I started making the cards late yesterday afternoon, I finished them off this morning.

  • I took each 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White card panel and watercoloured the leaves all in one swoop, then went back and coloured all the petals. The pigment powder and aqua pen also made for quick work, as the colour flowed easily and nicely, inside the embossed image.
  • Once coloured, I die cut each flower.
  • I cut more Whisper White card stock into 4" x 5 1/4" panels and used a sponge of Coastal Cabano ink to add a bit of stencilling for the background,
  • I then adhered my die cut flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  • I used assorted card stock in different colours for the card bases.
  • For the sentiments, I stamped an entire sheet of Basic Black card stock, embossing in white. Then I simply cut out the sentiments and placed on the cards with glue and dimensionals. *Most of the sentiments came from Paper Pumpkin kits.
  • To finish, I added a rhinestone inside the centre of each flower.
  • Well, truth be told, to finish the cards, I spritzed each one with my Champagne Mist Shimmer paint (mixed with rubbing alcohol) - surprise, surprise! I think I must do that to almost every card I make...

I've stamped my envelopes to coordinate with the cards, now it's time to write my messages and then pop these in the mail to a lot of special people!

Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!
