Gift Card Holder with Get Well Tissue Card Alternative - VIDEO

Hi Friends! I recently came across a card I'd made YEARS ago, based on a presentation from a demonstrator at a Stampin' Up! event. I can't recall her name, nor which event, but it's a fun interactive card I'd long forgotten about! This is a greeting card with a gift card holder inside!

You can, of course, decorate the front of your card as you would any greeting card, but the inside is a real WOW!

Measurements:
  • Two pieces of Designer Series Paper to create the gift card holder: 5 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored all the way across at 1 1/4" increments, leaving a 1/2" fold.
  • DSP for the front of the card: 2" x 5 1/2"
  • DSP for inside of card, along the bottom: 2" x 5 1/2" - add a 1" x 5 1/2" strip of Whisper White card stock to write message.
  • Whisper White card stock for the inside top of card: 1 3/4" x 5 1/2"
Here is another sample of this gift card holder, using "Country Club" Designer Series Paper:

Note that I adhered the folded boxes to the opposite flap, compared to the one I demonstrate in the video - both ways work and look great! The sentiment on the front of the card is from the "A Good Man" stamp set and the inside "Happy Birthday" is from the "Perennial Birthday" set.

For another super cute twist to this card layout: adhere the DSP boxes to the bottom section of the card (as I did on the masculine birthday card) and instead of inserting a gift card, tuck in a piece of tissue!

You now have a kleenex box inside the card! ADORABLE or WHAT?

The sentiments on this card are from the exclusive "Sending You Thoughts" stamp set that you can get for FREE with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration!

Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!
