Paper Quilt Technique with "Free as a Bird" Stamp Set

Hi Friends! I hope you had a great weekend!

In my last post, I shared a new video with you for the "Paper Quilt Technique" and I'm so happy so many of you enjoyed it! It is a super fun technique, that's for sure. But guess what? It's just as much fun creating cards using the leftover pieces too, as I did on this card:

I wanted to use up the leftover bits and pieces, without cutting into more Designer Series Paper.  I didn't have enough of the 1" x 1" squares to create a whole layer for a card, but where there's a will, there's a way! I was also tickled to realize that the sentiment from the "Little Ladybug" set works beautifully with the "Free as a Bird" stamps too!
  • Old Olive card base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
  • Whisper White layer: 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Basic Gray layer: 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Parisian Blossoms DSP: 1" x 1" squares
  • Stamped imaged coloured with ink pads and aqua painter

Supply List:

Enjoy the day & HAPPY STAMPING!

  1. Thought I left a detailed comment. Perhaps that was on FB. Love this card. Your bits left over are put to use very well. I just did a written tutorial last week, for posting this month. I created wood-like backgrounds and cut them up. If only I kept my leftovers.

  2. Thanks so much, Beth! I have such a hard time throwing out leftovers and have containers FULL of them! I need a day of just playing with them on cards! LOL xx
