To create this beautifully textured background you first add a couple coats of acrylic paint to your cardstock - it can be white or coloured, either will work! Once the paint is dry simply place your cardstock inside an embossing folder and run it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Next, you take a piece of fine-grit sandpaper and LIGHTLY buff some of the paint off the raised embossed image! The result is so neat and perfect for so many craft projects (cards, home decor, scrapbook pages, mixed media, etc).
I had so much FUN making these cards and resurrecting the acrylic distress technique!
I hope you enjoy my video demonstration and give this technique a try!
