“All the Good Things” Quick Cards

Hi Friends! Last night I took some time to make my monthly customer thank you cards, something I always enjoy doing. It’s easy to lose track of time once you start stamping, as I suspect most of you know, and before I knew it, it was 10:30pm. And I was short 9 cards. Although it was late, I really wanted to get my thank you cards finished so that I could pop them in this morning’s mail. So I grabbed some pre-cut paper from past card classes and in a matter of about 20 minutes, I had all nine cards made!

I ran all the card bases through the Big Shot using the new “Swirls & Curls” Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. This folder is from the Holiday catalogue and will be available to purchase in September – so this is a fun little SNEAK PEEK for you! Isn’t it pretty? I just love the design of this embossing folder!
After I embossed the cards I used Black Stazon to stamp the image from the “All the Good Things” stamp set. To quickly colour the pieces I used my Aqua Painter to add Old Olive ink to the tree, Crumb Cake on the branch and either Calypso Coral or Melon Mambo on the plant pot to coordinate with the paper layer. A little Blueberry Bushel ink was added to the inside portion of the pots and I used Sahara Sand to create a ‘base’ underneath. I also added a little butterfly from the “Enjoy Life” stamp set and a few pearls to the card fronts. To finish the cards I sprayed some Champagne Shimmer Paint that I had mixed with Rubbing Alcohol, which adds an incredible glimmer, though hard to see in the photos. This paint is also coming back and will be in the Holiday Catalogue – YAY!
I’m so glad I got all my cards finished so that I can mail them out! In a later post I’ll share the other thank you cards that I had made, which used the Tea Time Memories & More cards.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
