Apron of Love “Creative Challenge” Card

March 19, 2018 2 Comments

Hi Friends! Every month members in my “Serene Stampers” community receive a package of goodies to make a card for our “Creative Challenge”. I feature certain products and papers, already pre-cut and ready for the ladies in my group to create what they wish with it. Then we all share photos of our finished cards in our FB group which gives everyone lots of ideas and inspiration on ways to use the product. For this month’s “Creative Challenge” I mailed out every die cut from the “Apron Builder Framelits”, Coffee Break Designer Series Paper, a White Doily and a card base.

Participants in the challenge could use whatever stamp set they wanted, if they didn’t already have the “Apron of Love” stamp set. Here is the card I created, using the same supplies that I sent out to my team:

I have lots of leftover die pieces that I didn’t use on my card, but I’m going to use them in my Memories & More recipe book!  The recipe I used on this card is delicious, by the way. The meat falls apart and I serve it on toasted buns with sauted mushrooms and melted cheese. I also use the leftovers for nachos. You can find this recipe and more on my recipe page by clicking here.

I am really glad that I purchased the “Apron of Love” bundle – it’s incredibly versatile for many different projects and I know I’ll use it a lot in the recipe books I like to make for gifts. Wouldn’t this also make great recipe cards to add to fresh loaves of Banana Bread or other treats to give away as gifts? My mind is just brimming with all the ways I will be using this bundle.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Very cute project, Tina. I belonged to a stamping site, now defunct, and we all swapped Christmas recipes and decorated our cards. I still have that wonderful book. I hope this card is as cherished as mine are.

Thanks Beth! My Serene Stampers and I swap recipes at Christmas and I cherish them too – it's always nice to do something like this. I'm glad you've got such a cherished book!
