Back to School!

September 8, 2011 Leave a Comment

Hi Everyone! Boy, has the weather turned cold all of sudden or what? It certainly feels like Fall and if you’re like me, we’re still waiting for SUMMER! At least here on the East Coast.  Not the greatest summer weather this year – more rain than sun.  At least the grass stayed lush and green all summer! LOL  But trying to cut it in between the rain has been a challenge.  It’s starting to look like the Amazon out there…hee hee!  We’re all set for the winter months though. Oil tank is full and four cords of wood have been stacked in the wood shed.  I did it all.  In between all my stamping.  NOT! My Sweetheart stacked all the wood. If I did it it would probably all fall down – there’s a real art to stacking wood ya know.  I do split the kindling though – much to my husbands chagrin (and I’m sure my Dad would agree).  For some reason those two guys get nervous when I hold something sharp in my hands. I have no idea why.  Men of little faith.  BAH!  Speaking of sharp, kids are back in school learning their ABC’s and gettin’ sharp as a whip.  Some of my friends have little ones that have just started school for the first time – what a big day that is! And emotional too – their little babies aren’t babies anymore.  Children grow up so fast, hey?  Well, in the back to school theme, I’ve got a card you are just going to be WOWED with…

Isn’t this incredible?! LOVE it! This amazing card was created by a fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator by the name of Liz Glooschenko.  Liz entered her card into Stampin’ Up!’s Art Contest and she won Honorable Mention.  I just had to share it with y’all!

I’ve got my last “Summertime Santa” class tonight.  This class was so popular that I held it for a total of three times! Everyone is loving the ‘Quick Accents‘ – I’m showing the ladies how to make 20 cards in only 60 minutes!  Coolieo!  I’ll post all the cards for you tomorrow.

Have a marvelous day and HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
