Bokeh Technique

August 19, 2015 2 Comments

Here’s a technique that has been super popular lately, and for good reason: the Bokeh technique is super easy and quick and the results are always stunning. The possibilities of what you can do with this technique are also endless.  Here are some samples:

Colours used: Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Melon Mambo. Stamp Set used: Bravo #135380
I will show you how to make the flowers embellishments in the video, below.
Colours used: Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, Marina Mist.  Instead of sponging colour, I used the ‘ink direct to paper’ technique by swiping ink pad across card stock.  Stamp set: Petite Pairs #128706
Colours used: Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Hello Honey. Stamp Set: Ray of Sunshine #134339
Colours used: Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, Rich Razzleberry. Stamp Set: Choose Happiness
I truly {heart} these little flowers. Amazing how something so simple can be so pretty at same time.
The video tutorial is a bit rough, compared to my usual, as I don’t have access to my regular equipment or editing program at the moment. Hopefully you’ll still enjoy it though.  Please leave me a comment if you try this technique – I always love hearing from you!

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
