PS: Thanks to a viewer’s comment on my video, I realized the ‘earth’ on the card doesn’t make too much sense does it? HAHAH! I should have made a sun instead (or even the moon). Oh well! What can I say? I had too much fun making the earth so just ‘go with it’, k? LOL
Hi Friends! I recently shared an easy card, using the new “Mountain Air” stamp set, and I promised to share a ‘stepped up’ version – well, here it is!
As soon as I saw the “Pedal to the Metal” and “Mountain Air” stamp sets in our new 2020 Mini Catalogue, I KNEW I wanted to make a card using both of them together.
What FUN this card was to make! The first card I made (above) is for my sweetheart, for Valentine’s day (trust me, he’d rather have a card with a truck on it, than hearts! LOL). The inside is stamped with a “Happy Valentine’s Day” and “I love our life together.”
I decided to make the same card for my Dad’s upcoming 70th birthday, which is the card I demonstrate in the video. Both my Dad and my BF have blue trucks, so I really didn’t change up the cards too much. I think I prefer the second card I made, for my dad, to be honest – I like the brighter sky. I can’t decide though if I like the die-cut mountains best in Basic Gray or Smoky Slate inks but I think both colours work.
Each card took me about an hour to make, but I enjoyed every minute of it! Here’s how I made them:
The sentiments I used on my Dad’s card are from past “Paper Pumpkin” sets. I stamped the envelope for my dad’s card too and used a mailing label for his address.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card demonstration! I’ll be back on Monday, have a fabulous weekend!
