Hi Friends! This past year I have been honoured to serve on our first ever Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Council. Myself and six other demonstrators were chosen by our manager, Dale Hampshire, and it’s been an incredible experience! Our term finishes this December/January and then a new council will be brought in. Stampin’ Up! created these councils for our entire market, which means each country has its own council and their own agenda.

Canadian Demonstrator Council (2018-2019): Alicja Krysiak (BC), Emilie Poncelet (QC), Raelene Lee (AB), Rebecca Wheeler (ON), Tamara Bertram (AB), Tina Zinck (NS), Zahra Premji (ON).

As a council, we determined how we wanted to make a difference for Canadian Demonstrators with Stampin’ Up! and we chose to focus on “Finding New Customers”. Once we created our content we decided to hold seminars in both Western and Eastern Canada. Our East Coast seminars were held this past Spring and the West Coast seminars were held this month.
Vancouver’s Seminar: Carrie (Dale’s assistant), me, Brian Pilling (from our home office in Utah), Zahra and Alicja, and Dale. |
My sweet friend, Zahra, and I, just before our presentations in Vancouver. |
I flew to Vancouver for our seminar on November 2nd and then to our last seminar in Winnipeg, this past Saturday. It’s so hard to believe that all our seminars are over!
Rebbeca’s presentations in Winnipeg were great! |

Our seminar in Moncton, NB, this past Spring. |
I was so happy to see some of my “Serene Stampers” team members who came to the seminar in Moncton! I’ve missed these dear friends of mine! |
After the seminar, we all enjoyed a meal together, with Dale and Carrie, before going our separate ways. |
Emilie and Rebecca, at our Toronto seminar this past Spring! |
We held two seminars in both Toronto and Vancouver – one in the morning and one in the afternoon. There was no stamping or creating – these seminars were 100% business training! We also had seminars in Quebec, Edmonton and Calgary, with Tamara, Emilie and Raelene presenting. Seriously, our council was amazing – I loved working amongst such incredible women, each who also motivated and inspired ME too! |
All our seminars went really well and I just loved meeting wonderful demonstrators across this great country of ours! We also had some of our fellow demonstrators present at a couple of our seminars too, and they each shared their stories and experiences, which was so awesome. It makes a massive difference to connect & learn from one another – nothing is more impactful than in-person events like these.
I hope those that attended our seminars received lots of great inspiration and motivation with the training we provided, to help their business grow. I can’t tell you how much gratitude I feel towards Stampin’ Up!, our amazing Canadian Demonstrator Manager, Dale, and our council members. Being a part of this council has truly been an honour – and an incredible experience for me – both professionally and personally.

Friends, let me tell ya, the Stampin’ Up! sisterhood (and brotherhood too) of demonstrators is absolutely marvellous – I’ve been so blessed with the friendships I’ve made over the years since I bought that starter kit. I also had no idea that my love of stamping would take me on the incredible journeys that it has!
Now that I’m back in Nova Scotia, I’m trying to adjust to our time zone (after being in four different time zones in the last 11 days!) and into my daily routine. Hence why I haven’t got a card or project to share with you today.
It’s been a full day of unpacking, laundry, grocery shopping, making up a batch of homemade dog food for my hounds (who I missed a TON while I was away) and general catching up. However, I’ve got lots of great things to share with you between now and Christmas, which includes more techniques, tutorials and videos (including homemade gift ideas!). Until tomorrow, have a great day and HAPPY STAMPING!
