Christmas Cards!

December 30, 2010 1 Comment

Happy Holidays Everyone! I hope you’ve each had a wonderful Christmas!!! Ours was very nice! Quiet and low key this year, but lovely nonetheless. We were fortunate to receive some wonderful, handmade Christmas cards this year and I want to share them with you!

This one is from my friend and downline, Rhonda! Love it! I don’t have these wheels, but I wish I did! These are in the current Holiday Mini.

REMINDER: the Holiday Mini ends January 3rd! So there are only a few days left to purchase your favorite items from this sensational mini! I have an order going in, so let me know ASAP if you’d like to add your own items.
Or, click
here, to order through my online store, 24/7, and have it delivered directly to your door!

This card was made by my dear friends, Deb and her daughter, Becky. Love it! Look how they used the ornament punch! Clever!!

I forgot to take pictures of my own Christmas cards! Can you believe it? I made approx. 80 and mailed them all off. I was really pleased with them! They were similar to the above card, but in red and greens. I used the Christmas Fireside stamp set from the Holiday Mini. I then made another 30+ cards for my ‘Serene Stampers’ downline team members – the above card is one of them.

Another wonderful friend, and downline, Heather Johnson, made this beautiful card and included a lovely photo of her sweet family! Heather lives in Ontario, so if you’re looking for a great demonstrator there, click her link on the side bar to contact her!

Vanessa, a doll of a gal, made this card. It’s a spin-off of a card we did at one of my Christmas card classes. I LOVE it, Vanessa!

How sweet is this card? My friend, Denise, popped it into the mail for us! Isn’t it just the greatest feeling to find a card waiting for you in the mailbox? Receiving this just made my day. Thanks Denise!

Trish, my hubby’s cousin (twice removed? I can never figure it all out) made this card. It’s from a retired Stampin’ Up! set that I sold at my Hostess Appreciation Dinner auction and it’s so nice to see that it’s still being used! It is such a pretty set of stamps and Trish did an amazing job with this card!!! It’s inspired me to versamark the background of my cards again – something I sometimes forget about. There are just too many FUN techniques! LOL

Speaking of techniques, each month I have groups of ladies that get together (stamp clubs) and I provide a project and teach a new technique. It’s a lot of fun! Let me know if you’d like to participate! You can even form your own group with your friends! Contact me for details at serenestamper@yahoo.ca

I am lucky to have Shallon, not only as a part of my ‘Serene Stamper’ team, but she’s also become a friend I just treasure! This is her adorable card!

My sentiments above go for Cathy too. I just love her to bits! Isn’t her card just jaw-dropping?! WOW!

My friend, Linda, who lives back home in British Columbia, is not only an accomplished photographer (she’s had her photographs published in Cowboy Magazine!) but she’s also an amazing stamper! Her cards are always a delight to receive in the mail. This is FABULOUS! Look at all the details! Love it!

My Mother, who lives in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, made this gorgeous card for Russell and I! My Mom, who got me hooked on stamping when I was a teenager, always blows me away with her card creations. I wish we lived closer to one another so that we could stamp TOGETHER!

I made this card for some friends at our local auto shop. They always give such amazing customer service that I just couldn’t forget about them over the holidays! The card was delivered with three trays of hot cinnamon rolls.

I’ve always enjoyed making most of my gifts. This year was no exception! Here’s some of my homemade goodies – pear & cranberry jam, chutney, homemade hand cream, gourmet popcorn (that was DIVINE! White chocolate, crushed candy canes, drizzled with dark chocolate), breads, doggie biscuits (recipe courtesy my Mother – who sent some in her Christmas baking package! Our little Rosey just LOVED them!). I also made some other gifts that I just adored making. I’ll post some photos later this week. Non-stamped gifts, but ones I just loved! (Well, the tag was stamped!) LOL

Once my homemade items were packaged up, I put them in decorated bags, ready for gift-giving! I hope they’re enjoyed!

On Christmas Day, my husband and I took Rosey for a nice winter stroll. I can’t believe she went in to the water – it was FREEZING! Ah well, that’s what the warm blanket in the van is for!

We had a green Christmas, but it SNOWED and SNOWED and SNOWED on Boxing Day night!

Being in nature is one life’s greatest pleasures, in my honest opinion.

I’d like to take this moment to thank each and every one of you for your patronage – and friendship – over the past year! You’ve made my Stampin’ Up! business the most successful it’s ever been in the 9 years I’ve been a demonstrator and it’s a pleasure to serve you! I look forward to seeing you in 2011 at classes, workshops, stamp clubs and other events (a retreat, perhaps??? hint hint).

I wish you a New Year that’s filled with health, peace, love and much laughter!

Happy New Year and HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
