Christmas Gift Tags

December 2, 2018 2 Comments

Hi Friends! I hope you’re having a nice weekend so far! I don’t often blog on the weekends but I wanted to share some gift tags with you, in case you wanted to make some too (Sundays are always nice days to stamp and relax). As some of you may know, I volunteer at our local Activity Centre, which is a workshop for clients with intellectual disabilities. Each month we make cards together that are then sold, along with their fabulous baked goods! I love supporting & helping such an important non-profit organization – and we have so much fun too! Last week we were planing on making Christmas tags, but due to busy schedules and their bustling holiday season with their bakery, we weren’t able to get together. So yesterday I stamped and assembled the tags for them. I thoroughly enjoyed creating these tags and love how they turned out. Some of the products I used are retired, but one can easily improvise using what you have on hand.

Spirited Snowmen Tags

  1. Run 4″ x 1 3/4″ piece of card stock through the Big Shot using the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder. Use Tag Topper Scallop Punch on one end and add a ribbon.
  2. Stamp image from Spirited Snowmen with Stazon Black ink onto Whisper White card stock. Use aqua painter and ink pads to colour. Ink heart image from “Apron of Love” set with Poppy Parade marker and stamp onto snowman. Cut with 1 3/4″ circle punch; use stampin’ dimensionals to add to card.
  3. Stamp sentiment onto scrap piece of cardstock, trim into banner and glue to tag.
  4. Add Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to snowman’s hat.
  5. Spritz tag with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (mixed in a spray bottle with Rubbing Alcohol).
  6. Stamp ‘To and From’ on Whisper White card stock and cut with Pretty Label Punch. Glue to back of tag.
Supply List:

  • Spirited Snowmen Wood-Mount Stamp Set [148075]
  • Spirited Snowmen Clear-Mount Stamp Set [148072]
  • Big Shot [143263]
  • Aqua Painters [103954]

“To You & Yours” Paper Pumpkin Snowflake Tags

  1. Run largest snowflake from Snowfall Thinlet Dies (retired as of Nov 30/18) through the Big Shot using Smoky Slate card stock.
  2. Cut circles from card stock using Layering Circle dies.
  3. Stamp snowflake from “To You & Yours” (November 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit) onto Whisper White card stock, first using Smoky Slate (stamp off to create lighter shade), followed with Pool Party Ink.
  4. Stamp “Let it Snow” sentiment “To You & Yours” with Night of Navy ink pad. Layer onto blue card stock circle and adhere to snowflake die cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Cut another Whisper White circle with Layering Circle dies for the back of tag; stamp “To and From”
  6. Add embellishment and Dazzling Diamonds to front of tag.
  7. Spritz tag with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (mixed with rubbing alcohol).

*To add twine I cut a piece of Smoky Slate card stock with Classic Label Punch, folded in half and thread my twine in between. Glue dots to seal the ends and then glued between the circle and snowflake.
