Family & Friends Part of My Story Card Swaps

Hi Friends! I hope you had a great weekend! On Friday night I had a few of my local “Serene Stampers” friends come over to my house, for our monthly “Stamp n’ Share” team meeting. Sunday was the online version via ZOOM, with other ladies from across Canada. I love it when we spend time together – both in person and online – we have soooo much FUN! I really love my team and I am always so grateful for the friendships that I have with these amazing women – women I wouldn’t have met, if not for my Stampin’ Up! business. I can’t imagine not having these lovely ladies in my life. So when I made my card swaps for Friday night’s gathering, I knew I wanted to use the “Part of My Story” stamp set because the sentiment was perfect:

I also used the “Family & Friends” stamp set for these cards – this set is soooo cute and so much FUN to play with! I stamped the images from “Family & Friends” with Black Memento ink and then used my Stampin’ Blends Markers to colour the skin and hair. Then I stamped the body portion onto scrap bits of Designer Series Paper, cut out the dress portion, and glued onto the card. It’s so neat to see the dress ‘patterns’ that emerge from this “Paper Piecing Technique” and each one is a bit different from the other. I used the hearts stamp from the “Nine Live” set. There’s a teeny little stamp in the “Family & Friends” stamp set with three little lines – I’m not quite sure what it’s for – but I used it to make the grass and the design across the strip of card stock on the centre of the card.
