First Video!

February 28, 2012 2 Comments

Hi Everyone!  One of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is getting our “Stampin’ Success” magazine every month.  It’s awesome! The March issue is especially great – it’s been redesigned and has more projects, tips, tutorials and techniques then ever!  This April I will celebrate 10 years of being a demonstrator with Stampin’ Up! (woo hoo!) and in all those years I’ve never made so many projects out of a Stampin’ Success magazine as I have with this one.  And that’s before I even had it my hands – I hadn’t received it yet so I was using the online version!  The featured technique in the March issue is called “Acrylic Distress” and I just couldn’t wait to try it for this month’s clubs.  Everyone LOVED it as much as I did! Each month we make two cards and a 3-D item so we made the two acrylic distress cards shown in the magazine (now you know where I come up with my ideas for my classes and events!) as well as a easy gift box.  The box was an idea I found online from another demonstrator.

Stamp clubs are a great way to build your stamp collection on a budget, learn new stamping techniques and it’s a fun girl’s night out!  We meet once a month and you don’t have to do a thing – I provide everything for you, you just come and relax and enjoy a couple of hours of stamping (it’s cheaper than therapy and a whole lot more  FUN!).  If you would like to form your own monthly stamp club with your friends just contact me and I’ll give you all the details on how the stamp clubs work.

If  you live far away or your schedule doesn’t enable you to come out to one of my stamp clubs, no problem! I have just the solution for you! Join my ‘Stamps in the Mail‘ club!  When you join this 3 month-club you’ll receive a stamp set, project supplies and easy to follow directions.  As soon as your package arrives in the mail all you’ll have to do is pull out your new stamp set and pre-cut materials and in no time you’ll have created gorgeous cards and projects!  Contact me at serenestamper@gmail.com for more information on my ‘Stamps in the Mail Club’ (available within Canada only).

And now it’s time to share with you my FIRST video! It’s far from perfect but it’s a start! LOL  I plan on making videos a big part of my business so I’ve got a lot of learnin’ to do but it’s going to be so much fun to show you techniques and projects in video form.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Oh Tina, I sure love the music from last Convention. Nice video even though you know you need to talk louder but CUTE cards and love how your sweater looked like it matched the card. LOL! Congrats on getting into the world of videos. I need to get a video camera so I can do that too. TFS!
