Flower Patch Thank You Cards

September 1, 2015 Leave a Comment

I wanted to make some thank you cards today but was a bit pressed for time.  These are the cards I came up with, featuring the ‘Ghosting Technique’, and I had all my cards (and envelopes) completed in minutes!

The technique is easy – simply stamp a solid image using Craft White ink and set aside to dry. Once dry, stamp on top of the white image using a different colour.  The final effect is really pretty.

Thank goodness for the Envelope Punch Board; I needed envelopes too and this fabulous tool saved the day. I used regular computer paper to make the envelopes and stamped them to coordinate with the cards. Quick and easy!

I’ve been busy picking blueberries (it’s prime season right now).
I love spending time out in my fields, enjoying the quiet nature, warm
breeze and sounds of the birds.  It makes raking the berries quite
relaxing actually.

Raking blueberries.

Because chemicals aren’t used in our fields, raking the berries is a bit more work, due to the grasses and weeds.  It’s worth it though – the blueberries are DELICIOUS!

Ready to be cleaned and then they’re going right in my freezer!

Later this week I’ll be picking the crabapples off my tree to store away.  I truly love this time of year – I feel like a little squirrel gathering food to store for the winter months! LOL

On that note, I’d best get on with my day.

HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
