Hi Friends! Last weekend I played another round of “Mystery Stamping Hour” with my team – we always have so much fun! It’s so nice to spend time together – even virtually, via Facebook – and stamp together too. To play, I post a graphic in our Facebook group of each step to create our card. Once we’ve completed all the steps we share pictures of what we made. Well, after playing Mystery Stamping Hour for years with my team, I’ve FINALLY created a Facebook Group for anyone to play along!!! Our first “Mystery Stamping Hour” is scheduled for tomorrow night, Thursday, April 23 at 7pm (Atlantic). To join this special VIP Mystery Stamping Hour group on Facebook, simply click HERE and then I’ll add you. *If you’re already a follower of my “The Serene Stamper” FaceBook page, you’ll see a “VISIT GROUP” button at of the page. Just click that to join my group.
The card layout I used for last weekend’s Mystery Stamping Hour was a fun fold. Here’s what I created, using the “Sailing Home” and “Ornate Thanks” stamp sets and the “Come Sail Away” Designer Series Paper:
Instructions:
- Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to measure 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Score at 2 1/8″ at both ends, folding the flaps towards the middle.
- Cut two pieces of Designer Series Paper to measure 1 7/8″ x 5 1/4″ and glue to each flap. *If desired, cut another two pieces of DSP to glue on the inside flaps.
- Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock to measure 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″. Stamp whatever you wish on this layer, as it will be the focal piece of your card.
- Cut a piece of coordinating card stock to measure 3″ x 3 1/2″ and glue stamped piece to this layer. Wrap ribbon or stamp sentiment along the bottom. *I heat embossed the sentiment in white.
- Place adhesive along one side of stamped piece and adhere to front of card.
- Stamp inside as desired. * I used my Old Olive ink pad and Night of Navy marker to stamp “So Grateful” from Orante Thanks set, as well as the “Sailing Home” images.
- Embellish card as desired. *I stamped onto the DSP panels.
Supply List:
- All online orders will receive a hand stamped card in the mail (as long as I have your address!) and 12 step-by-step stamping tutorials will be emailed to you as token of my appreciation for your online order!
- At the end of each month everyone who ordered with me has their name put in a draw for a gift of Stampin’ Up! product (winner is chosen via random.org).
Simply enter this month’s special host code
prior to submitting your order through my website.
If your order is $200 or more DO NOT enter the Host Code
so that you will also receive your stamping rewards
(I will still send you the PDF tutorials).
Later today Stampin’ Up! will be releasing their “Retiring List”. I’ll be sending it via a newsletter to all of my subscribers today and I’ll post it here on my blog tomorrow. If you’re not already on my mailing list, simply click the button below.
Enjoy the day, stay safe & HAPPY STAMPING!
