Good Tidings Sneak Peek and Giveaway!

August 14, 2017 8 Comments

Hi Friends! I hope you had a good weekend! I can’t believe how fast it went. One of the things I did this weekend was my project sheet for the leaders group I belong too. I decided to use the “Good Tidings” stamp set, which will be released Sept. 1st when the new Holiday Catalogue goes live. This is yet another stunning stamp set.  I hope you enjoy this card and tutorial.

Supplies:
•
Stamp Sets – *Good
Tidings (144870)
•
Card Stock – Old Olive (100702); Whisper White
(100730)
•
Stamp Pads – Old Olive (126953); Real Red
(126949); Basic Black Archival (140931); Versa Mark (102283); Lemon Lime Twist
(144086)
•
Misc.– Heat Tool (129053); Clear Stampin’
Emboss Powder (109130); Rhinestone Basic Jewels (144220), Stampin’ Dimensionals
(104430);
*Mini Tinsel Trim Combo Pack (144636); * 7/8” Striped Ribbon (144624); *Merry
Little Christmas Designer Series Paper (144621); Fast Fuse (129026); Many
Marvelous Markers (131264)
* Holiday Catalogue products, available
Sept 1/17
Measurements:
•
Old Olive: 5 ½” x 11” (fold in half for card base)
•
Whisper White: 4” x 5 ¼” & 4” x 2 ½”
•
Merry Little Christmas DSP: 4” x 2 ½”
Instructions:

  1. Fold Old Olive card stock in half to create a card base that
    measures 5 ½” x 4 ¼” and set aside.
  2. Use Fast Fuse to adhere the 4” x 2 ½” piece of Merry Little
Christmas DSP to bottom of 4” x 5 ¼” piece of Whisper White. Add a strip of
Fast Fuse along top edge of DSP and layer a piece of Striped Ribbon across,
securing in back. Adhere to card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  3. Stamp holly and berries onto 2 ½” x 4” piece of Whisper White. Use
the Lemon Lime Twist for the ‘solid’ holly image (1a) and Old Olive ink for the
‘detailed’ holly image (1b). Use Real Red ink for the berries, stamping off on
scrap paper first for the solid image stamp (1c) and full strength ink for outline
berry stamp (1d). Use Old Olive and Basic Black markers for the stem stamps.
  4. Ink “Good Tidings” sentiment first with Versamark then with Black
Archival and stamp over the holly. Sprinkle with Clear Emboss Powder, shake off
excess and set with Heat Tool. Add to card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Trim ends of scrap piece of 7/8” Striped Ribbon and wrap a piece
of silver tinsel trim around centre of ribbon to make a ‘bow’ – tie a knot to
secure. Glue to front of card.
  6.  Add rhinestones to finish card.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
