“Greatest Part of Christmas” Card

November 23, 2019 1 Comment

The card I’m sharing with you today is the third card from this month’s “All Occasion Card Class”. To see the first card, click here and the second card can be seen here. Each month we make six cards in total, two each of three designs. I really love the simplicity of this card and it’s also one of those layouts that work with so many other stamp sets, papers and colours.

Measurements:
  • Garden Green: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, folded in half to create a card base that measures 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″
  • Crumb Cake: 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Very Vanilla” 3 3/4″ x 5″
  • Toile Tidings DSP: 2″ x 3 3/4″
Details:
  • Glue Crumb Cake layer onto front of card.
  • Ink large star image from “So Many Stars” set with Crumb Cake, stamping off onto scrap paper first, then stamp onto top section of Very Vanilla card stock. Repeat with smaller star images.
  • Place Very Vanilla card stock inside Stamparatus and position “Christmas Greetings” stamp on top section. Close flap of Stamparatus to pick up stamp and then ink with Garden Green and stamp down. Repeat until desired darkness of ink. Remove card stock from stamparatus.
  • Glue Designer Series Paper to bottom section of Very Vanilla layer. Place a strip along top edge of DSP, remove the backing, and add a piece of ribbon – secure in back. Glue to card front.
  • Make a knot with another piece of ribbon and place on card with glue dots.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
