Hi Friends! HAPPY FRIDAY! The weekend is here and I’m getting ready to teach a workshop in Woodstock, New Brunswick tomorrow with about 20 ladies, most who have never stamped before! Oh my goodness – I don’t know who’s more excited, me or them! LOL I’ve got some cute projects I’ll be demonstrating and everyone will be stamping some easy cards that are super adorable. I’ll share photos of the projects and the event on Monday. If you’d like to book a workshop I still have some openings in March and remember, during our Sale-a-bration promotion everyone will get a FREE Sale-a-Bration gift with a qualifying order!!!! See the link above for the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. Online orders receive the same free gifts too – so if you’re in Canada and want to get in on the fun just click HERE.
Do you sometimes see items around you and think “Hmmm….the colour of that pillow is the same as Stampin’ Up!’s Marina Mist!” or “We have stamps similar to the image in that wallpaper!“??? It happens to me all the time! Today’s card is case in point. First I’ll show you my inspiration, which happens to be a box of tissues which I purchased simply because I wanted to case it for a card!
Isn’t that a pretty, clean and fresh pattern? So I pulled out my ink pads in Soft Sky, Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Black Stazon, Saraha Sand and Old Olive. Then I grabbed my stamp sets: Secret Garden, Fabulous Florets, Four You and the Sale-a-Bration “Petal Parade”. Here’s what I came up with:
I dyed the ribbon I used on today’s card too. I used White
Organza Ribbon and using a concoction of rubbing alchol and a few drops
of Marina Mist Ink Refill, I just applied the colour with an aqua
painter and set it aside to dry! This would be a fabulous pattern to make a one sheet wonder with, don’t you think? If you’ve not heard of ONW all you do is cover a full sheet of 8 1/2″ x 11″ card stock with your stamps, like I did for today’s card, and then just cut the pieces out as you need them – you’ll end up with a TON of cards, tags, book marks, etc, just from stamping that one sheet! Talk about a time saver!
Speaking of time, I’ve got to skee-daddle! My Friday Night Stamp Club was rescheduled to tonight due to an earlier snow storm so I’ve got to finish getting ready.
Have a lovely weekend and HAPPY STAMPING!

That is so funny! I looked at that Kleenex box about a month ago and thought "that looks like a Stampin Up box"! It would make a great card….and you did it!
Awesome job!

Months ago I took pics of this tissue box design for the same reason. DSP inspiration. You beat me to it! Awesome job! Glad I waited because now I can use the new Petals Parade too. Thanks for proving I am not completely crazy. Or well, I am not alone anyway. 😉

So funny, hey? I am beginning to wonder if the tissue company found the inspiration for this pattern from Stampin'Up! LOL Joanne, you're not alone – and we're all a little crazy! More fun that way! HA!
