New Arrivals!

Hi Friends! Have you got snow where you live?  We haven’t got any – yet – but Mother Nature has given us a few snowflakes here and there.  Ugh.  I really do love the snow – but I am just not ready for it this year.  I really want to have some more warm evening on the veranda.  So I am TRYING to wrap my mind around the fact that WINTER is here and embrace it.  So today I made a nice cup of tea, pulled out my stamps and got into the Snowflake Season.  Here’s what I came up with:

I used the “Snowflake Season Simply Sent” kit to create this ornament card.  This kit comes with 10 postcard ornaments with gorgeous glittered snowflakes already on them, twine, dimensionals and printed envelopes to match.

Snowflake Season
I wanted to turn the postcard into an actual card though, so I used a Crumb Cake card base.  I popped out the ornament, raised the postcard on top of the card and the recipient just has to untie the bow to use the ornament.  I add a piece of “Season of Style” designer series paper, stamped and embossed the Festive Flurry snowflake with Silver Embossing Powder. The “Petite Pairs” stamp set was used for the sentiment.  I added snowflakes to the ornament with the “Endless Wishes” photopolymer stamp set (LOVE!) and then coloured the snowflakes with my Cherry Cobbler and Real Red Markers and finished off the ornament with pearls and rhinestones.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
