“Parisian Beauty” Card Tutorial

January 6, 2020 4 Comments

Hi Friends! Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a nice weekend. We had a bit of a snowstorm yesterday. I would say we got about a foot of snow and lots of wind. Our power tends to go out a lot during storms but we’re prepared with our generator and wood stove. I finished putting all the Christmas decorations away, which inevitably leads to thorough house cleaning and rearranging the furniture and decor (at least it always does for me). While it’s always a bit sad to put the decorations away, it does look and feel nice to have the house ‘back to normal’. I couldn’t resist leaving the pine garland and lights up above the kitchen cabinets though!

This morning I created an easy and pretty card for this month’s “Leader’s Project Sheet Group”. I used a simple masking and sponging technique and the new “Parisian Beauty” stamp set. This stamp set is really lovely and I have so many ideas I can’t wait to try with it. For today’s card, however, I wanted to use minimal supplies, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out! This card layout is brilliant for many other stamp sets – and dies – too.

11” x 4 ¼” Whisper White card stock in half to create card

    Coastal Cabana inks. Remove masks.
  3. Use
Stamparatus and Stazon ink pad to stamp tower, sentiment and birds.
    Glue layer to card front.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
