Picture Perfect Birthday – Leftover Bits & Pieces Card

May 7, 2019 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends! Today I made a few cards using leftover bits and pieces from card classes. Sometimes these leftovers pile up and I decided I’d challenge myself and see what I can make with them. When I prepare cards for classes I pre-cut all the card stock and tuck it inside an envelope. If there are any cards leftover I just put them in a container. And they sit. And sit. And sit. Does this ever happen to you? So today I thought I’d see what I could make with them, especially as I can’t even recall the original card design! LOL I also wanted to use stamp sets that are retiring. So for the next three days I’ll post one of these ‘bits and pieces’ cards with you!

Here are the leftover ‘Bits & Pieces” for today’s card:

I chose to use the “Picture Perfect Birthday” stamp set:

Here’s my finished card:

I think it turned out quite nice! I also stamped the envelope to match, so now I’ve got a birthday card ready to pop into the mail when I need it!

I added some texture to the card base with the Softly Falling embossing folder (which is also retiring) and a bit of bling with the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, sequins and rhinestones.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
