Hi Friends! Well, I have to tell you – weather (in Canada) is weird. Last week, the tail end of June, I had to light the wood stove because of the cold, damp weather. This past weekend and right through the week we are in the high 30’s – soooo HOT! It’s as if Mother Nature flicked a switch and said: “Ok, East Coast of Canada – you can have summer now.” I am a warm weather girl and as much as I love the beauty of snow in winter, the cold makes me grumble. So despite the HOT temperatures, I shan’t complain. I did learn today though that planting veg in the garden with the 34′ sun isn’t a good idea. I suddenly felt quite ill and it occurred to me that (a) I should have a hat on and (b) I need to plant earlier in the morning. So I had a cold shower and skid-daddled down to my stamp studio, which by the way, is really cool. I often wear a sweater in my studio, even in the summer. Except today. LOL

So let’s get onto today’s cards, which is very summery! I used the new “Pop of Petals” bundle as well as the new “Detailed With Love” stamp set. Super easy card to make. Markers direct to the stamps is one of my favourite things to do, and I just pulled in the colours with my blender pens.

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Indeed it is hot. Here in southern Ontario, with the humidity it is 104 degrees outside. I went to the beach on Saturday and could only put up with two hours. Luckily I did have a hat on.

This is such a pretty card. So fully stamped and just lovely.

    Stay cool.

Wow, Beth, that is super HOT! I'm taking my hounds to the beach for swim today but will wait until this evening when it's a bit cooler.
