Serene Stampers Night & Saleabration almost over!

March 30, 2012 Leave a Comment

Hi Everyone!  HAPPY FRIDAY! Boy this week went by FAST!  I had a super fun workshop on Tuesday:

These terrific ladies have decided to form their own stamp group to meet each month and learn some new stamping techniques.  They’ll also build their stamping collection gradually by placing a min. amount each month and take turns getting the hostess benefits.  I provide all the supplies for our  projects and each month we will fill our 6×6 album with our technique instructions and samples.  If this sounds like something you’d like to do with your friends let me know!!!  It’s an awesome way to get together and create! Click here for more details.

Hard to believe that Sale-a-Bration is almost over for another year.  I loved the free saleabration items and have had a blast stamping with the free stamp sets.  I made the above cards using the Sprinkled Expressions stamps and the In Colours.  If you haven’t got this set, you’re missing out – it’s adorable! After tomorrow it will be gone FOREVER! And don’t forget about the starter kit – the money you save on it right now is insane.  Get over $475 worth of product for only $150 and Stampin’ Up! will even pay the tax and shipping costs for you!  I’d seriously snap this up before it ends tomorrow.  You’ll also get so much more with this kit – a free 12×12 package of  Designer Series Paper each month for the rest of the year, the Stampin’ Success Magazine every month, just to name a few perks!!  Contact me to get your kit at serenestamper@gmail.com or sign up online and have it shipped right to your door!  Click HERE.

Here’s another card I made, this time with the Fresh Vintage Saleabration set (my favourite!).  I stamped the image using the Baby Wipe technique and then I covered the cardstock with Multipurpose Adhesive sheet and Dazzling Diamond Glitter.  The Happy Birthday is from the Elementary Elegance Saleabration stamp set.
This was a card swap I received at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference this past January – I LOVE it!  This is the Fresh Vintage Stamp set again – so versatile!  The other set used is the PS I love you, in the current Occasions Mini.
Last night was our Serene Stampers Group meeting.  We had a blast.  Leigh demonstrated the new doily die:

I demonstrated the new purse die (out next month).  We had cute make and takes, card swaps, raffles, awards and recognition for sales and promotions, display tables, and more.  Our group meetings are always held on the last Thursday of each month – contact me if you’d like to attend as my guest! Our next meeting will be in May because Stampin’ Up! is sending my husband and I to Disney World in April – I am SO EXCITED!  I love being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!

I made a cake to celebrate the promotions in our group and used the new Stencil from the Summer Smooches Suite that will be available next month!  I need a little practice in removing the stencil after sprinkling on the icing sugar – but I think it turned out pretty well!
Here’s the recipe for this yummy pumpkin cake (FYI I used applesauce to replace some of the oil, thus resulting in a denser but still delicious cake).
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
