View of our Guest Cottage while hanging out the laundry this morning. |
I have to say, I just love our new home. It is just a dream to be here – so peaceful and idyllic. After cold and rainy days the warm sunshine has FINALLY arrived. It’s so nice to see blue skies and feel that extra jolt of energy the sun gives you.
Our fur-kids, Rosey and Cooper, ready to go out for their morning romp! |
So I was up early getting laundry out on the clothesline and enjoying my first cup of coffee on our back deck. Now it’s time to tackle my stampin’ studio. I should have taken a picture to show what I’m up against…. I will take some later for you and show you the progress of my craft room as it takes shape. I chose to use an upstairs room, similar to an attic room, with steep slanted ceilings – which really makes it challenge for space and storage. However, it’s a super cheery spot with three windows and lovely sunshine and natural light all day long. Perfect for me since I work from home full time with my Stampin’ Up! business so I’m going to be spending most of my time in this room. Right now the washing machine and dryer are in this room too, so my hubby and I will be moving them ASAP to the basement to open up the space. There are so many boxes piled in this room right now I can barely walk around them – how in the world did I acquire all this craft stuff that I just ‘can’t live without’? Ah but, I know I’ll find happy little spots for everything in good time. For the moment I just want to get the walls washed and painted and then set up my computer desk and work table – I’m so anxious to STAMP! But all of my stamp supplies are still packed away in boxes – can you imagine the horror? LOL It’s killin’ me not to be able to stamp and play and create. So I’m hoping to have at least a spot set up with my inks, stamps and paper by tonight and the rest can be sorted over the next few weeks. I also want to take my time setting up this room. I’m going for the feminine, shabby-chic look with soft green, pink and creamy white walls and restored vintage pieces to be used for storage and work areas. I’m even going to hang my Great-Grandma’s little chandelier next to the brick chimney – ohhhh, it’s going to look so pretty! So yes, I’ll take photos and share them with you. In the meantime, I’d best get cracking.
Don’t forget the current catalogue ends in a couple of days so if there’s anything you want from the retired lists you HAVE to get them right away or they’ll be gone forever.
Enjoy the day and HAPPY STAMPING!
