Hi Friends!

This past weekend was my monthly “Wine and Craft Pinterest Party” with my friends.  As always, we had a ball – I LOVE getting together with my friends and crafting the night away.  The pinterest project we chose was easy and a big hit – we all loved the results and can’t wait to make more.  Here’s my finished frame:

The frame (which we found at the $1 store) is not a ‘shadow box’ but it does have a deep inset to it.  All we did was stamp the background on Whisper White card stock using Gorgeous Grunge and then stamps of our choice.  I used Lovely as a Tree, Walk in the Wild and the geese are from one of my all time favourite retired stamp sets called Pines.  We just used Black Stazon ink to stamp the images.  The branches were sprayed with white paint and I added some Dazzling Diamonds Glitter with spray adhesive.  Here’s me, with my finished project:

Everyone’s project was unique and wonderful:

Fun, fun, fun! You’ve GOT to give these a try! I am so hooked and I want to make a bunch for gifts (hope no one in my family sees this post…LOL).  I also want to make a set of four (perhaps smaller frames) in all four seasons.
Well, friends, we’re preparing for what could be the worst winter storm in 10 years here on the East Coast.  Not thrilled about that – I am sooooo ready for flowers, warm breezes and freshly cut grass.  Looks like I’ll be waiting a bit longer than I hoped.  We’re supposed to get 40cm of snow tonight/tomorrow, with high winds, and then another 25-30cm snow on Saturday.  The snow has already started to come down hard and fast.  Some of my regular readers will remember that we lost power for almost a week during Christmas so we’re bracing for the potential threat of losing power once again.  Geez, I hope not! It’s so hard to stamp in the dark.
I’ll post again soon and Frenchie will be back on Thursday with her “Passport Pals” project and mine will be on her blog.  We both chose Sale-a-bration as the theme of our projects as this awesome promotion ends on March 31st.  If you still haven’t taken advantage of the free products you can get click HERE.
HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
