Sweetest Thing Birthday Card Tutorial

Supplies:
  • Stamp Sets – Sweetest Thing (148575)
  • Cardstock – Coastal Cabana (131297); Granny Apple Green (146990); Whisper White (100730)
  • Stamp Pads – Bermuda Bay (147096); Versamark (102283)
  • Misc. – How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper (DSP) (148568); Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8” Reversible Ribbon (148572); Jar of Sweets Framelits Dies (148524); 1 1/2″ Circle Punch (138299); Tailored Tag Punch (145667); White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (109132); Silver Metallic Thread (138402); Heat Tool (129053); Embossing Buddy (103083); Big Shot (143263); Stampin’ Dimensionals (104430); Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (144108); SNAIL Adhesive (104332); Tear & Tape Adhesive (138995)
Measurements:
  • Coastal Cabana: 8 1/2” x 5 1/2”
  • Granny Apple Green: scrap for circle die-cut
  • Whisper White: 5 1/2” x 1/2”; 4” x 5 1/4″
  • DSP: 5 1/2” x 2”; jar image of your choice
Instructions:

  1. Score Coastal Cabana at 4 1/4″; fold to create card base.
  2. Adhere DSP across center of card.
  3. Stamp sentiment with Bermuda Bay on Whisper White strip; punch right end with Tailored Tag Punch to create banner. Adhere to DSP.
  4. Die-cut candy jar from DSP with Jar of Sweets Framelits. Loop metallic thread and adhere to back of jar with SNAIL Adhesive. Loosely fold 6” of ribbon behind jar; adhere. Adhere jar to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  5. Lightly rub Embossing Buddy over front of Granny Apple Green cardstock. Stamp Happy Birthday sentiment with Versamark ink slightly above straight edge of cardstock. Sprinkle generously with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder; heat with Heat Tool. Punch with circle punch. (You will end up with an incomplete circle.) Adhere above banner with SNAIL Adhesive, matching straight edges.
  6. Stamp coordinating candy jar in corner of Whisper White panel and adhere inside card.
