Thank you cards & a box full of FUN!

October 4, 2010 Leave a Comment

Hi Gang! Just a quick post today, as my MIL is still here from England and we’ve been on the move sightseeing and visiting. But I just had to share my thank you cards with you. I always include a hand-stamped 3×3 card in each customer order I receive to show my appreciation for their business and also as a bit of inspiration. The cards I made today feature a super fun technique that I am demonstrating at this month’s workshops and stamp clubs. I am totally addicted to this new technique. I’ll post the tutorial once my clubs are done, so that I don’t ruin the ‘WOW’ for the girls!! LOL

For these 3×3 cards I used ‘Autumn Days‘ stamp set as well as the ‘Tiny Tags‘ and coordinating Jewellery Tag Punch. Oh! And let’s not forget the Scallop Trim Border Punch! Oh my gosh, I use this punch allllll the time! I received it FREE during Sale-A-Bration! Sure am looking forward to SAB again, which is Stampin’ Up!’s BIGGEST sale of the year! You’ll definitely want to book a workshop during the SAB promotion, which will be January 25-March, 2011. Book early to reserve your workshop date as my calendar always fills up quick for this event! Ok – back to the cards! LOL Check them out:

I used the ‘Thank You Kindly’ stamp set for the above card.

I had a great workshop yesterday – Becky was the hostess (Thank You, Becky!). Truly a lot of
fun! I demoed simply cards, as well as the technique shown in the above 3×3 cards (albeit with a bit of a twist). Also, here’s one of the cards I brought to show everyone the versatility of the ‘Paisley Prints‘ stamp set – the oak leaf can also be a HOLLY leaf! And check out the button! Love it!

I used the ‘Snowflake‘ embossing folder and Top Note Die with the Big Shot. The word ‘Joy’ was also made with the Big Shot, using the ‘Join the Cheer’ die, which is exclusive to Stampin’ Up! And you just knooooow I had to sprinkle on some Dazzling Diamonds!

I also made a card featuring some fun tools: the mat pack and paper piercing tool, colour spritzer tool and the one and only BIG SHOT! I love my Big Shot. I think y’all know just how much. It’s right up there with my husband. That’s a LOT of LOVE! LOL I use my Big Shot constantly and I’ve got to tell you: YOU. NEED. THE. BIG. SHOT. You won’t regret it! Tell your significant other that this is what you want from Santa this year, and it will be delivered wrapped up and ready to go under the tree! Just make sure Santa’s elves let MY elves know in advance, to ensure a timely delivery.

The make and take projects at Becky’s workshop featured the Top Note Die and everyone made a super cute candy holder (which could also be a place card for special dinners!). My friend Deb took photos of all the projects so I promise I’ll post them as I soon as I get them.

Ok – I best get going. The UPS man just arrived with a very big box FULL of goodies!

Can you say ‘FUN’???!!!

Markers, ink pads, decor elements, bling, card stock, envelopes, adhesive, spools of ribbon, TONS of stamp sets (lots of Christmas sets – everyone’s getting ready to make their Christmas cards! Check out my Classes & Events page for my Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack!)

I’ll be making deliveries today and tomorrow!!!!!! Whhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeee! I need to put a ‘Happy Days’ siren on my van when I make the SU delivery rounds! Let me know if such a thing exsists! LOL

HAPPY STAMPING!

PS – lookie what I got:

You may not believe this, but this is the very first Halloween stamp set I’ve EVER purchased! I love the old fashioned, ‘London in the 1800’s’ look of this set! I WILL be playing with this TODAY. My sweet husband is making dinner (his signature Sheppard’s Pie) God Bless Him – which leaves me more time for STAMPING!

Can you guess what these are for?

My “Spook-tacular” Halloween Class!
Make this frame AND have some fun AND have some cupcakes! Details are on my Classes & Events page. I still have spots left in this class – the deadline to RSVP is this Sunday, October 10th.

Contact me today to book your spot – you won’t want to miss this super fun event!

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
