Ultimate Glitter Technique Using Napkins!

March 25, 2013 5 Comments

Ohhhhh Happy Day!!  Why is it so happy, you might ask?
Well let me tell ya.  It’s a HAPPY day when there’s GLITTER in it, and
today, my friends, I bring you LOTS of glitter!  If you’ve used Stampin’
Up!’s Dazzling Diamonds, then you indeed know the meaning of “Happy”.  If you have not used Stampin’ Up!’s Dazzling Diamonds then you must run over to your computer and order some right now.  I’ve never used any glitter that compares to Dazzling Diamonds – it’s simply gorgeous.

So on to today’s fun project.  I learned of this amazing, wonderful, jaw-dropping technique from Connie Ingram, a fellow Stampin’ Up! Sister, from her presentation at one of our Regional Events.  So here’s a BIG THANK YOU to Connie!

Update December 2018
As this video is a few years old, some of the products I used for the technique are retired. To see a new version that is even quicker and easier click here.

I’ve also made an updated video for this technique too:

Supplies: Wisteria Wonder Card Stock, Decorative Label Punch, Large Oval Punch, Field Flowers Stamp Set, Basic Rhinestones and White Organza Ribbon.  To view items online click here.

All items can be viewed and purchased through my online store HERE.

You must be a resident of CANADA to shop through my store.
If you live in the USA or another country please visit www.stampinup.com and click “FIND A DEMONSTRATOR”.

Here some more cards I’ve made with this same technique:

This was made using a napkin scoffed from a friend’s house…

Supplies Used: Chocolate Chip Card Stock, Friendly Phrases Stamp Set, River Rock Card Stock, Calypso Coral Card Stock, Chocolate Chip Ink Pad, Stamping Sponges, Rhinestones, Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Floral Frames Framelits, Big Shot, Honeycomb Embossing Folder
I even added some of the glittered napkin on the inside of this card (which was for my Mom’s birthday)

I hope you give this technique a try! It’s a ton of fun and I promise that when you play with this Glitter Napkin Technique, you’ll be having a Happy Day too!

 HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

I was hoping to find the dimensions for your card here? I see all the links for purchasing but nothing about card size or sizes to cut paper to make the card. This helps some of us! ???
