White Christmas

October 15, 2014 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends! It was another gorgeous day here in Nova Scotia – the high was 27′! So hard to believe we’re getting warm temperatures like that in October, but I’ll take it! I love everything about this time of year and sunny days like today just make it perfect.  Having said that though, I felt inclined to play with a new stamp set called “White Christmas”.  I hope we have a white Christmas (even though I have no desire to see snow any time soon) – but it sure was fun to play with this stamp set.  What’s really cool about these stamps is that they’re photopolymer, so they’re bendable which creates all kinds of different images.  To make the background I scribbled blue markers onto my clear block and then misted with water and stamped onto my Whisper White card stock.  Then I repeated using grey and black markers.  Next, I masked off the sides using post it notes and stamped and coloured the rest of the card. A little grey swirl from Everything Eleanor stamp set was perfect for the gust of ‘wind’ and a white gel pen was used for the snowman.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
