Hi Friends! It’s time again for our monthly “Around the World on Wednesday” Blog Hop! The theme for this month is “EMBOSSING” – and that could be wet, dry, heat, or whatever type of embossing floats our boat!
Since I showed the “Mosaic Embossing Technique” on my greeting card boxes yesterday, I thought I’d incorporate that onto my card for today’s blog hop:
I used the “Rugged Icon” dies, with the mountain die as my main focal point (aside from the mosaic background, of course).
Once I had my die cuts done, I pulled out my adhesive sheets and got to work placing the bits and pieces of the “Enjoy the Journey” Designer Series Paper (this is quite relaxing, actually).
Next, I sprinkled on the gold embossing powder, which stuck to the adhesive between the papers, and heat set. Because I was feeling a wee bit artsy, fartsy, I thought I would kick things up a notch and clear embossed the entire mosaic background. You never know how things are going to turn out unless you try, right? And it’s FUN, so that’s what counts most.
A little bit of twine and a white embossed sentiment was all that I needed to finish this card. I have so many ideas of ways I can use the “Mosaic Embossing Technique” on my cards – I can’t wait to get back to my craft room.
I suspect I’m going to have even MORE ideas once I see what everyone in our AWAO blog hop has created for us today! So let’s blog hop, shall we? Next up is Annette Ball, who I just know will have a fabulous card or project waiting for us!

My word! I don’t often come across a technique I’ve never seen before but you’ve shown me one! I’m going to give it a try sometime. Very eye-catching and a unique look on a card. It really looks like mosaic tile with that glaze over the top. Thank you for sharing this!

Oh, wow, what a job on this map! The mosaic technique is already amazing but coupled with thermal embossing! What a fantastic idea!
