Hi Friends! If you stopped by earlier today, then you’ll know that I had mentioned I’d be sharing another video with you. Despite a crazy busy day, I made sure to keep my promise! I managed to can all those amazing black currants and make the most delicious jelly just in time before heading off on vacation tomorrow. Phew!
Just look at all this goodness…
…mmm. I absolutely LOVE black currant jelly. Since I took this photo earlier today, all but one small jar has sealed. Hmmm, I reckon I’ll just have to put that jar into the fridge and have it for a delightful breakfast treat tomorrow morning. I’m also planning on taking some jars home with me to Comox, to share with some of my friends and family.
I’ve also finished making & freezing 24 meals (which I started a few days ago), baked two loaves of sourdough bread AND I made my Grandma Zinck’s famous chocolate cake (I just need to make the frosting). The meals and treats are for our friend who’ll be staying at our house and taking care of our fur-babies. He will NOT go hungry, that’s for sure! All that’s left to do is packing and giving the house a quick scrub and tidy up, which I’ll do tomorrow. This gal is wiped!
So let’s get on to some stamping, shall we?
Today’s cards both use the “Season of Chic” stamp set and coordinating “Chic” dies. The layout is easy and pretty, featuring window sheets and tag die cuts. The white ink stamped onto the window sheets (acetate) is stunning, yet it’s so simple. Once stamped, you can set the window sheets aside to dry (or use a heat tool), or emboss like I did. The vellum tags peaking behind the white card stock really add a nice touch too! In my video, I will also show you how I used this one stamp set to create two cards, and change the sentiments by ‘omitting’ with my marker. This is a great way to stretch out your stamps and use them in multiple ways!
Product ListTomorrow I’ll be off on vacation for two weeks. I’ll check my emails & respond when I can. If you’re not able to reach me and you need help placing an order, or if you have any questions, contact Stampin’ Up! at 1-800-STAMPUP. I have some card tutorials scheduled for you, so that you’ll have some fun card ideas while I’m visiting and relaxing with my family on Vancouver Island.
Take care & HAPPY STAMPING!
