I think, like most stampers, we get a lot of our inspiration from Pinterest. Along with using my Stampin' Up! catalogues (old and new) for inspiration, I also love finding card layouts on Pinterest that I can tweek and make my own.
The card I created for this blog post was inspired by one I found on Pinterest, made by Debbie Mageed, featuring the "Sailing Home" bundle:
Isn't Debbie's card just beautiful? You'll have to check out her blog post for this card, which is actually a "Calendar Easel Card". I just kept my card a regular fold, but I do love the easel fold that Debbie used too. Using Debbie's card as a starting point for my card, I kept to a similar colour scheme and used products from the new "Sand & Sea Suite".
To make this card, I simply stamped the images with Crumb Cake ink onto the Crumb Cake card stock layer, then added more ink around the edge with a blending brush.
I also stamped shells with Crumb Cake ink onto Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla card stock that I cut with the coordinating die. Next, I ran the oval die-cut through the 3D Seashell Embossing folder - this is such a fabulous folder! A few Opal embellishments finished off the card.
This card was so much FUN to make! As you can see, the inspiration I found on Pinterest with the Sailing Home card was a perfect fit for the products in the "Sand & Sea Suite".
Now it's time for you to hop on over to Annette's blog and see where she finds her inspiration!
