Emboss Resist Technique with Watercolour Pencils | VIDEO

April 10, 2020 2 Comments

Hi Friends! It’s Good Friday and I am wishing you a day filled with hope, love and prayers and that joy shines through the simple things during these arduous times.

Yesterday I wanted to make a simple card using my watercolour pencils and emboss technique resist. I thought, why not film it at the same time and share the process with YOU! So I DID! Unfortunately, the lighting in my video isn’t the greatest (sorry about that) and it doesn’t do the card justice at all. But I think you can see from the photos what a beautiful and soft result you get by using the watercolor pencils.

This design would be gorgeous using inks and pigment sprinkles too, which would also give a much deeper and intense result in the colouring.

Today marks my 18th year of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator! WOW! Time sure flies when you’re having FUN! I had no idea when I first bought that starter kit of the amazing journey, friendships and blessings Stampin’ Up! would bring into my life. Hands down, joining the Stampin’ Up! family was one of THEE BEST decisions I’ve ever made.

I can’t imagine not being a demonstrator – I just LOVE sharing my passion of stamping with others and this hobby has never grown old – it still excites and delights me!

I’m off to make a batch of Hot Cross Buns and enjoy this long weekend, celebrating Easter. (PS – you can find my hot cross bun recipe by clicking on my recipe tab – you’ll see it midway down the page).

Enjoy the day, stay safe & HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Lovely ideas in this video. I like how you stamped your background, I learned that you can stamp without having to go back into the pad each time. TFS.
