Quick & Easy Card Layout!

April 24, 2020 Leave a Comment

Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing a very easy card layout, but it’s one of my favourites. When I need to make a card in a hurry, or if I need to make a lot of cards in one swoop, I always seem to go to this layout. No matter what colours and stamps used, the cards look terrific!

Measurements
  • Whisper
    White: 8 ½” x 5 ½” , ½” x 4 ¼”
  • Petal
    Pink: 5 ¼” x 1 ¼”
  • Crumb
    Cake: 5 ¼” x 1 ¼”
  • Balmy
    Blue: 5 ¼” x 1 ¼”

Instructions:

  1. Fold
    8 ½” x 5 ½” Whisper White card stock to create base.
  2. Ink
coral image with Petal Pink and stamp randomly over Petal Pink card
    stock.
  3. Ink
sandollar image with Crumb Cake and stamp randomly over Crumb Cake
    card stock.
  4. Ink
seahorse image with Balmy Blue and stamp randomly over Balmy Blue
    card stock.
  5. Glue
stamped card stock strips onto front of card, leaving a slight gap in between each piece.
  6. Cut a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock that measures 4 1/4″ x 1″ and stamp sentiment with Crumb Cake ink. Adhere to the front of card.
* This is the design that I used for last night’s Mystery Stamping Hour too – which was a TON of fun! Thanks to everyone who joined in – I hope you had a great time and I am already looking forward to our next “Mystery Stamping Hour”!

Here are a couple more samples, using the same card layout:
For this card, I used the “Sailing Home” stamp set, Balmy Blue ink pad and card stock, as well as the 1 1/2″ circle punch for the sentiment.

Colours used were Crumb Cake, Petal Pink and Old Olive. I used the beautiful new “Ornate Style” stamp set for the background. The sentiment is from the “Country Home” stamp set, which I cut using the Everyday Label Punch.

AvatarI joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…
