Seaside View Fun Fold Cards with Watercolor Pencils

March 27, 2021 9 Comments

Hi Friends! A couple of years ago I made a card using a fun fold that I had forgotten about – as we do (there are so many folds it’s hard to remember them all!) I decided to resurrect this fun fold card for my Mystery Stamping Hour yesterday and I was so inspired by all the cards everyone made using it! If you’re not already in my “Mystery Stamping Hour with Tina” group and would like to be, just visit my Serene Stamper FB page and click on the group button and I’ll be happy to add you! We make a card together every Friday at 1 pm Atlantic time.

The Seaside View stamp set is on our LAST CHANCE list and I wanted to pull it out for today’s card:

Seaside View Stamp Set #152651

This is one of my favourite stamp sets yet I haven’t used it enough. Last year I made THIS CARD for a friend’s birthday and I just loved how it turned out! The images in this stamp set are really fun to colour and for today’s video demonstration I used the Watercolor Pencils with my blender pen and water painter.

Here is the card that I demonstrated for you in my video. The Designer Series Paper is Sand & Sea & I used my Layering Square Dies (both of these items are also retiring and only available while supplies last).
For this card, I inked my block using Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight, Magenta Madness, and Cinnamon Cider and misted it with water before stamping it onto my Basic White card stock. Once dry, I stamped my image and add a wash of Seaside Spray ink to the water. I also inked up my Seabed 3D Embossing Folder (retiring & on sale!) before running my card stock through.
I love how this card turned out and I think it’s so pretty! I am going to miss Rococo Rose SO MUCH once it’s retired! I also add a light wash of Frost White Shimmer Paint to the ‘water’. If you follow my videos and blog and know me, then I’m sure you can guess that I am SUPER SAD to see the Champagne Shimmer Mist on the retired list! You can bet I’ll be stocking up on before it’s gone so that I can make my favourite spray!
It’s amazing how quick this image is to colour with Watercolor Pencils! The Layering Oval Dies are also on the LAST CHANCE retiring list!

I hope you enjoyed today’s video and give this fun fold – and watercolor pencils – a try! I’m sure that you’ll have a LOT of fun creating your cards!

Have a wonderful weekend, friends, stay well and HAPPY STAMPING!

I joined Stampin' Up! the first night they arrived in Canada, April 2002, and what a ride it's been! At the time I just wanted the discount on all of the fabulous stamps and accessories - why pay full price if you don't have to, right? But little did I know where my journey with Stampin' Up! would take me. Read More…

Hello Mary! Yes you sure can! You’ll need to find a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator in England, as we’re only able to sell within our own country. Just go to http://www.stampinup.com, click on your country and demonstrator locator. Hope this helps! The “Seaside View” stamp is absolutely GORGEOUS – you will have so much fun creating with it!
